A project for the 72h gamejam in GameDev/DesarrolladorES area of Campus Party Valencia 2011 and my fifth and last Lan Party that I assisted with my coleagues from Stratos-AD. A game inspired in the classic Lemmings. The restrictions of the gamejam was: octopus, teleports and randomness.

The goal is drive a group of random octopuses to a “hot pot” while preventing them to commit suicide jumping of high platforms (yes, underwater 😛) or touching some enemies. You count with a limited amount of couple-teleporters (enter and exit devices) to place in the scene, in a limited range from the enter point, using them to trying to make a strategy to drive the octupuses through determinated points.

The game was developed using an updated version of the same engine used to develop Grey Infection for XBox 360 (C# .NET Framework 4.0 and XNA Game Studio 4.0 based engine) with some updates and new features.

The game was unfinished but the mechanics are completed, and the game count with 3 full playable levels and 3 unfinished more that they aren’t full tested but almost playables.
