PLASMANIACS is a shooter-clicker divided into a succession of rounds in which you will be one of the four outsiders that keeps at bay the strange creatures that appear in the central vortex of the stage. The main objective is to go as far as possible to increase the rewards that are received at death, being able to improve the statistics to try again and making your character stronger in each game.
After finished the Ginger: Beyond the Crystal port to Nintendo Switch I started to work in the next project that was cooking in the studio, this third-person shooter-clicker, mainly as Tool Programmer aligning with the game designer to help a develop a tool to ease setup a camera rig and camera behaviours and transitions controller for the player, based on events and animation curves to configure camera behaviours and transitions.
The tool, implemented as a simple Unity component, implements a pulished and friendly user interface in the editor inspector, hiding a complex group of plain numeric values behind of a dynamic list of element groups, that represent the each camera behaviour and the rig setup, using sliders, range sliders, animation curves and similar UI controls. The tool allow the designer to ease modify values and tests rig setups, and behaviours and transitions (e.g.: when the player is flying or when landing on the ground) in runtime in a ease and intuitive way, boosting the design tasks related with the player camera and his feedback.
